PTI Architects had the fortunate opportunity to work with Sinarmas Land on the master planning of a 52-hectare site within BSD City, its flagship township in South Tangerang. From the Sanskrit word, meaning "earth" - "The Avani" is a residential development located in the southern edge of BSD City bounded on its eastern perimeter by the Sungai Cisadane River.

It was developed to support the "live, work, learn and play" vision of BSD City where places of work and study are built in close proximity to residential, leisure and commercial uses, thereby attaining a self-contained community. Divided into five neigborhood clusters and targeting middle-and upper-middle class young families, the conscious integration of about nine hectares of land allocated to sidewalks, jogging tracks, bike lanes and various parks and open spaces into the development illustrates the importance of promoting a healthy, tranquil and environmentally- friendly lifestyle, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Recognized as the Best Housing Development in Indonesia in the most recent Indonesia Property Awards, it is a privileged to have been part of the team that conceived The Avani master-planned residential community.
