ANTASARI 45 Residences Jakarta

September 2014

PTI Special Projects led by Stephen Stinton took on the design commission of Antasari 45 Residences, a 34-storey condominium development in the vicinity of Antasari-TB Simatupang, South Jakarta, envisioned to cater to both the foreign and local market. It is planned as an integrated development where a pre-school, parks and playground and a retail and F&B hub will support the future needs of the residents.

Designed to introduce “resort living” into the city, one is welcomed at the apartment lobby characterized by tropical landscape amidst water feature of ponds and waterfalls. The same atmosphere resonates on the podium level where amenities such as the infinity pool, gym and outdoor facilities are planned. The building configuration is dictated by the site whereby a linear plan is positioned slightly bent and split into two wings with circulation cores on either sides. The façade design is broken into interesting features that are both functional and aesthetic, breaking the length of the building. The boxed frames in-between balconies of each unit provide privacy while vertical fins on both corners of the building serve as sun-shading for the corner units. The play of horizontal and vertical elements using rendered precast panels, window walls and open balconies with glass railing create a balanced, understated yet elegant design. Antasari 45 Residences will definitely be an outstanding addition to the TB Simatupang skyline in the years to come.
